It is with deep regret we relay the news of long time SPARC volunteer Mel Porritt’s passing. Mel opened the museum every Sunday for 20 + years without fail. May 19th brought the Engineers & GeoScientists of British Columbia, Tri-Cities Branch, to the museum for a tour. Although from a variety of engineering disciplines, they all appreciated our wide ranging displays of vintage technology. With thanks to Barb, John and Tom for acting as guides.
The Annual General Meeting of the society for the year ended 2017, was held Sunday February 4th 2018 at 1:00pm. It was not as well attended as past meetings have been. Sunday December 10th, the museum held its annual Christmas lunch for members. Last years event was canceled when Mother Nature was uncooperative with the weather conditions.
